As a result of requests from parents and its business customers, Trident provides a collect-at-home drug testing kit
for parents and their school children. In some cases children were seeking guidance from their parents and needed
an excuse to deal with peer pressure. The kit also allows parents to clearly communicate their expectations about
.drug use. This kit has proven very successful at helping parents and children to deal with the ready access of
drugs in school. This program is available to any parent regardless of who provides Drug Free Workplace Services
for their employer.
Parents can choose either Urine Drug Screen or Oral Fluid (saliva) test. Both are laboratory-based tests. The
charge for the urine test is $25.00 and the charge for the saliva test is $30.00. The saliva test has the
advantage of being less embarrassing and is not vulnerable to adulteration or substitution.
We at Trident understand that talking to your children about drugs is not the easiest conversation a parent
will have. To help, a Parent Education program will be available in early 2002. This program will be
available via the Internet, CD-ROM, or pencil and paper.
